Endicott Volleyball Voted #1 in NECC Preseason Poll

BEVERLY, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) released their annual Men's Volleyball Preseason Poll and defending champions Endicott have been unanimously selected by the league's head coaches as the number one team in the conference. The Gulls have gone 24-0 against NECC opponents during the regular season since joining the conference in 2012 and are coming off a 22-10 (12-0 NECC) campaign in 2013 that saw the Gulls capture the NECC's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Endicott received all seven first place votes (49 points overall) and were followed by Daniel Webster (42), Elms (31), Southern Vermont (26), Newbury (25), Regis (26), and Lesley (7). The Gulls lost only one player to graduation and welcome back nearly their entire starting lineup including NECC First Team All-Conference selections Mike Coniglione (Glenville, N.Y.) and Travis Netherton (Waukegan, Ill.). 

Daniel Webster received all seven second place votes and roster five of their starters from 2013 including NECC Player of the Year Joel Hendrix.  Endicott and Daniel Webster will face off three times during the regular season with their first match being the 2014 season opener on February 1st at the Live Free or Die Invitational.
