GALES FERRY, Conn. — Endicott sophomore rider Erin Nelson (Lexington, Mass.) placed fifth overall out of eight competitors in the individual limit fences class at the Zone 1 Championships on Sunday evening, hosted at the Mystic Valley Equestrian Center.

"Erin rode beautifully today against a strong group of riders from across New England. While we didn't earn a trip to Nationals, I am so proud of the effort she put forth and the result she earned," said Endicott equestrian head coach Megan Martin. "She gave her horse the exact ride that he needed and made smart, confident choices throughout her entire round. I'm excited to see where the next two years bring her since she is only a sophomore."
