Equestrian's weekend trip to Vermont ends with strong showing

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Endicott made a solid showing at the ISHA show hosted by University of Vermont on October 14.  Mistakes were few and ribbons plentiful, with Freshman Gareth Benschoff taking the blue in her first Open Flat showing, Susie Pelick winning Novice Flat and David Rahn winning his Walk-Trot class.  Red second place ribbons were awarded to Megan Gutwillig, who pointed out of the Walk-Trot Division, Taylor Chisholm in Novice Flat, Erin Zani in Novice Fences and Anna Pavlov in her Open Fences class.  Marissa Ricard pointed out of Intermediate Flat and will now ride in Open flat and fences.

In Cacchione Cutpstandings, Monica Carrera sits one point out of the top spot while Anna Pavlov is 2 points down.  Gareth Benschoff got off to a strong start in the division, earning 10 points in her first show.

In team standings, Endicott is third out of 12, behind tradition powerhouse University of New Hampshire and a newly revitalized Dartmouth team.  Both schools have barns owned by their institutions.

The team traveled to Mt Mansfield Farm in Stowe, Vermont the day prior to the show, highlighted by a mountain hike, study time and a spaghetti and meatball dinner.

Endicott's next show will be on October 27, hosted by Dartmouth.
