BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott dance student-athletes Marrin Innis (Beverly, Mass.) and Abigail Sullivan (Braintree, Mass.) were recently hired by the Universal Dance Association (UDA) as rookie staff members. Innis and Sullivan will take part in UDA training sessions this week in Chicago, Illinois to prepare themselves to instruct dance camps across the country this summer.

"Working for the UDA will open so many professional doors for these dancers, and they deserve it," said Endicott dance head coach Nicole Sao Pedro-Welch. "The continued experience they will get from the UDA will truly help the success of our dance team."

YEAR IN REVIEW

The Gulls finished seventh in the nation in open pom and 13th in the nation in open jazz at the UCA/UDA College Cheerleading & Dance Team National Championship this past season. Endicott's performances mark the third year in a row the Gulls have placed in open jazz finals, and the second time in the last three years Endicott has advanced to finals in both open pom and open jazz.

The Gulls also claimed their eighth straight UDA New England Regional title this season as well. The Gulls received first place honors in Open Jazz and Open Pom, as well as the Best Choreography Award for their jazz routine. Endicott's first place performances in Open Jazz and Open Pom also marked the third year in a row that the Gulls swept both disciplines.
