NECHA Changes League Structure For 2004-2005 Season

April 23, 2004

Last Saturday, the Northeast Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) Executive board met for their spring meeting. Among the accomplishments achieved at this meeting was the election of Holy Cross and The University of New Hampshire's non-varsity teams into full NECHA membership.

With the two added programs, the league's membership now consists of fourteen teams. The Executive board elected to break the league up into two divisions, each containing seven teams. Each team will play both a home and an away game with each team in their division. The top four teams in each division will gain a playoff berth.

Endicott will play in the East Division against Bates, Bridgewater State, Bryant, Holy Cross, MIT, and UNH.

The West Division will consist of Coast Guard, Connecticut College, Daniel Webster, Springfield, Lyndon State, WPI, and Western Connecticut State.
