Endicott Baseball All-Region History

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior Nick Quattro (Canton, Conn.) and JJ Branch (Milford, Mass.) received additional all-region accolade this week as both pitchers were named to the ABCA/Rawlings Division III All-New England Team. Quattro was placed on the First Team along with Pitcher of the Year Andrew Richards from Southern Maine as well as two other pitchers while Branch earned a spot on the Third Team.

Both Quattro and Branch were named to D3Baseball.com's All-New England squad two days ago. The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) also placed Quattro (First Team) and Branch (Third Team) on their all-region teams.

In 2015, Quattro and Branch turned in what would be two of the most best pitching performances the Endicott baseball program has ever seen. Both Quattro's 1.42 ERA and Branch's 1.44 ERA ranked in the top-five in program history while Quattro's .131 batting average over 50 2/3 IP against was second only to Tyler Connelly (.118 over 45.0 IP) from 2008. Quattro's eight-win total matched Branch's mark from the 2014 season which is only one behind former D3Baseball.com Third Team All-American Tyler Hitchcock from the 2013 season. Quattro set a program record with 24 appearances as a junior while tying Kevin Dupras' 16 games finished statistic from 2013. Additionally, Branch tied his own program record of two shutouts which is shared with five others.

With his ABCA/Rawlings Division III First Team All-New England standing, Quattro is now eligible for All-American status which will be released on May 21st. The ABCA's Gold Glove winners will also be revealed on that date.
