Volleyball awarded #2 seed and bye in CCC Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After winning their final six conference matches of the season, including an upset of Western New England on the final day of the regular season, the Endicott women's volleyball was awarded the #2 seed and a bye through to the semifinal round of the upcoming CCC Tournament. 

The Blue and Green have faced a challenging regular season schedule that included numerous national and regionally ranked opponents from across the country.  Endicott is 12-19 overall with a 6-2 record in CCC matches.

The quarterfinal round occurs on Tuesday, October 30th at the site of the higher seeded team with the winners moving on to face one of the top two seeds in a Thursday semifinal.  Endicott is set up to face the winner of #6 Wentworth at #3 Salve Regina on Thursday, November 1st at 7:00 pm in MacDonald Gymnasium.  

Endicott has appeared in the CCC Championship match in each of the past two seasons, falling both times to top-seeded Roger Williams who once again earned the top position.  The Gulls have won four conference titles in their 19 year history (2004, '06, '07, '08) and made the championship match in seven of them (2004, '05, '06, '07, '08, '10, '11).

#5 University of New England at #4 Western New England, 7:00 p.m. 

Semifinals • Thursday, November 1
#4/5 winner at #1 Roger Williams, 7:00 p.m.
#3/6 winner at #2 Endicott, 7:00 p.m.

Championship Match • Saturday, November 3
Semifinal Winners, 1:00 p.m. (at higher seed)
