Gulls to meet WNEC in ECAC Tournament

Gulls to meet WNEC in ECAC Tournament
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College has been awarded the No. 5 seed in the upcoming ECAC Tournament and will meet fourth-seeded Western New England College on Wednesday evening in Springfield, Mass. The Gulls defeated the Golden Bears in the two teams’ only meeting of the season on September 19th by the score of 3-2.

Both members of The Commonwealth Coast Conference, Endicott and Western New England finished the regular season tied for first place in the league with identical 9-1 TCCC records. The Gulls, however, held the tiebreaker due to the head-to-head victory at a WNEC hosted tri-match in Springfield.

Endicott had its playoff run cut short when the Gulls dropped a 3-0 decision to eventual conference champion Roger Williams in TCCC semifinal action last week. The Golden Bears were also ousted from the postseason by the Hawks, falling 3-1 in the conference final.
