SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Endicott College senior Hayley Janelle (Madbury, N.H.) was named TCCC Player of the Week this week as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday. Janelle led the Gulls to a 2-1 week including two conference wins that allowed the Gulls to secure the number one seed in the upcoming TCCC playoffs.

Endicott started the week by being by losing to Bowdoin 3-0 in the third contest the teams have played against each other this year. Endicott had won the previous two meetings by a combined score of 6-1, but the Polar Bears had the Gulls number on Tuesday. The Gulls would rebound nicely as they were able to beat both Gordon College and the University of New England to clinch the number one seed in the TCCC tournament. In the three contests, Janelle was able to accumulate 18 kills and had 10 blocks to lead the Gulls. Her best game of the week came against UNE as she accumulated nine kills and had five blocks.

The Gulls will host Regis College in the Quarterfinals of the TCCC playoffs on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. In the two teams' previous meeting, Regis would be able to take one set from the Gulls in an eventual 3-1 win for Endicott back on September 13th.
