Fifth straight weekly honor for Nolan

Sept. 29, 2008

BEVERLY, Mass. - The Commonwealth Coast Conference's Libero of the Week award should be owned by Brittany Nolan (Monroe, Conn.), as the senior was awarded with the honor for the fifth straight time on Monday. Nolan was instrumental in Endicott's 3-2 week that featured four matches against tough NESCAC competition and a TCCC win over Salve Regina.

Nolan averaged a solid 4.74 digs per set, including three matches in which she posted 20 or more digs, as the Gulls battled with some of the toughest regional competition at the MIT Invitational. Brittany posted 29 digs in a five-set win over Colby College, she also added 21 digs in a three-game setback to Williams. In Endicott's second win of the season against Bowdoin, Nolan dug 14 balls and also had a 20 dig performance in EC's first-ever meeting with Wesleyan. Nolan also anchored the Gulls serve-receive, committing just eight errors in 106 attempts for a .925 average.

Endicott (11-4 overall, 4-0 TCCC) returns to action on October 1st as the Gulls travel to Bristol, R.I. to face Roger Williams at 7:00 p.m.
