Dickens Headlines Women's Track & Field CCC Weekly Honorees

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Six student-athletes from the Endicott women's track and field program have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly honors, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) headlined the group by earning CCC Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Gabby Peniche (Milford, Mass.) also garnered CCC Track Rookie of the Week accolades, while Olivia Novello (Ipswich, Mass.)Julia Maclaine (North Easton, Mass.)Kaylee Carver (Abington, Mass.), and Kaylee Whitney (Milford, Mass.) received the CCC Relay Team of the Week award.


Dickens, CCC Field Athlete of the Week

  • Dickens highlighted the Gulls' rain-shortened efforts at Roger Williams with first place performances in the long jump (15-7.75) and triple jump (30-8.5)
  • She won the long jump by three inches and nearly bettered the runner-up in the triple jump by a foot
  • Dickens also ranked third overall in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.48 seconds

Peniche, CCC Track Rookie of the Week

  • Peniche won the 400-meter run with a time of 1:06.92
  • Her time bested five other freshmen in the event, including four student-athletes from the CCC and another from a D2 school

4x100m, CCC Relay Team of the Week

  • Novello, Maclaine, Carver, and Whitney placed first overall in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 52.80 at Roger Williams
  • The quartet bested fellow CCC opponents UNE (57.37) and Nichols (58.69) in the event

Endicott competes in the Snowflake Classic on Saturday, March 20, hosted by Tufts University.
