Women’s Track & Field Competes At Bowdoin Invitational; Risko Qualifies For New Englands

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott women's track and field team wrapped up day two of the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday evening.

Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.) highlighted the Gulls' efforts by qualifying for the NCAA Division III New England Championship in the 3,000-meter run.

Risko placed first overall in the event with a time of 10:33.31, nearly two seconds under the New England qualifying standard (10:35.00).

The junior also smashed her previous school record/personal best in the 3K set on 12/2/23 by more than 25-seconds (10:59.82, 26.51).

Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.) finished first overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.61 seconds, bettering her personal best and NCAA Division III New England Championship time.

She also won the prelims with a time of 9.74 seconds.

SCHOOL RECORDS

Dickens ranked second in the triple jump with a school record mark of 33-feet and 11.50-inches. She broke her own school record set on 2/19/22 by two inches.

Katie Ritzer (Dover, Mass.), Ellyna Hansen (Northboro, Mass.), and Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.) finished second, third, and fourth overall in the high jump, respectively.

All three Gulls cleared a school record height of 4-feet and 11.50-inches. The three-way tie for event rankings purposes was broken on jumps.

Ritzer cleared 4-11.50 on her first attempt to secure runner-up honors in the event and initially break am Ende's own school record of 4-11. Am Ende established that mark in last night's pentathlon.

Hansen matched Ritzer with her second approach, while am Ende reclaimed a share of the high jump school record via her third and final attempt at the height.

Julia Maclaine (North Easton, Mass.) broke the school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.27-seconds (2nd overall). The previous record was held by Jordan Williams '23 (27.53, 2/11/22).
