NCAA TOURNAMENT: Endicott Blanks Farmingdale State, 5-0

AMHERST, Mass. — The Endicott women's tennis team defeated Farmingdale State, 5-0, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday evening, hosted by Amherst College.

Doubles featured victories from Olivia Berler (Marstons Mills, Mass.) / Kaitlin Fitzgibbons (Nashua, N.H.) at No. 3 (8-1), Lejla Guster (Wethersfield, Conn.) / Ripley Uyeda (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) at No. 1 (8-3), and Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) / Olivia Martinelli (Coral Springs, Fla.) at No. 2 (8-4).

Keaveny went on to make it a 4-0 score at No. 2 (3-0, win by retirement), while Martinelli finished off the match at No. 3 (6-0, 6-1).

"We played well today. We've been open to running more aggressive patterns and we're doing well with them," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We will enjoy it [today's victory] and be ready for what's next."
