Women’s Tennis Earns First-Ever Regional Ranking

ITA REGIONAL RANKINGS | ITA RANKINGS EXPLAINED

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's tennis program has been selected 20th overall in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Region Rankings. Today's announcement marks the first regional ranking ever in program history (based on available data).

"Earning a regional ranking indicates a big step forward for our program. Competing for conference titles is great, but we've had conversations with our student-athletes about not being complacent," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We've aimed to make a statement on a larger scale, and obtaining a regional ranking offers validation. This wouldn't be possible without the dedication and support from our student-athletes, alumni, parents, and athletic department."

Since his arrival at Endicott, D'Angelo has guided the Gulls to a 47-24 overall record (.662), a 23-3 conference mark (.885), three Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) titles, and two NCAA Tournament Second Round appearances, to date.

Endicott's roster currently features student-athletes from the New England region along with New Jersey, Nebraska, Texas (2), Florida, New York, and California.

The program is also heavily involved in community service efforts, team-bonding initiatives, and mental health and wellness programming.

The Gulls (11-5, 7-0 CCC) will compete in the NCAA Tournament later this season during the first week of May.
