Hanna and Pratt Selected to NEWISA Senior Bowl

Paige Pratt and Rachel Hanna were selected to represent Endicott in the NEWISA Senior Bowl.

BEVERLY, Mass.- The New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) announced the selections for the 2017 Senior Bowl this weekend and Endicott saw two members receive an invitation in Rachel Hanna (Chelmsford, Mass.) and Paige Pratt (Topsfield, Mass.)

The duo earned the selections after helping to guide the Gulls to a 35-22-10 (.597) record overall, and a 26-7-3 (.764) record in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play. During their time at Endicott, the women qualified for the CCC tournament all four years, advancing to the semifinals in three of those four seasons.

Hanna, the CCC Player of the Year in 2017, posted career-bests across the board, including 35 points, 14 goals and seven assists. Three of her goals were game-winners (Wellesley, Eastern Nazarene and Babson), while she also assisted on three other game-winning goals. The forward posted multi-goal games three times this season while recording multiple points in 11 of her 17 games played. Her 35 point season currently sits just outside the top 10 in Endicott's all-time record books.

As part of a defensive unit that has allowed just 13 goals in 17 matches, for an average of 0.76 goals against per contest, Pratt thrived in 2017, starting all 14 contests in which she played. With the co-captain leading the way, Endicott's defense allowed just 85 shots on goal all season, and 188 shots total, compared to Endicott's 160 shots on goal and 312 total shots. As a back, Pratt  managed to be a vital part of the Endicott offense, posting a career-best four assists to date.

The NEWISA Senior Bowl will be held at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. on Saturday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m.
