COLONIAL HOCKEY LEAGUE WEEKLY REPORT

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshmen Vendela Jonsson (Linkoping, Sweden) and Lexi Klein (Shoreview, Minn.) have earned weekly awards from the Colonial Hockey Conference (CHC) for their performances last weekend against Plymouth State University and Nichols College. Jonsson was named the CHC Goaltender of the Week, while Klein earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Jonsson guided Endicott to a 2-0-0 week as she registered a pair of shutouts against Plymouth State University and Nichols College over the weekend. Jonsson stopped 17 shots to give the Gulls a 2-0 win in their first-ever game in program history on Friday, and turned away 16 shots in their 4-0 victory over Nichols on Saturday.

Klein guided Endicott offensively on the week by scoring a pair of goals and dishing out one assist. On Friday in the first-ever game in program history against Plymouth State, Klein netted the first-ever goal for the program at the 11:11 mark of the first period. That goal also served as the game-winner.

Along with her goal and an assist versus Nichols on Saturday, Klein finished the week with a plus-3 rating.

Endicott (2-0-0) returns to action this Friday against Johnson & Wales University, on the road, at 6:05 p.m.
