Softball Sweeps Curry On The Road

MILTON, Mass. — The Endicott softball team swept Curry, 5-0 and 12-0 (5 inn.), in conference action on Saturday evening at D. Forbes Will Field.

GAME ONE: Endicott 5, Curry 0

WP (14-3): Jaylin Couto (Taunton, Mass.) — 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 7 K
LP (7-8): Jillian Rogers (East Freetown, Mass.) — 7 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 3 ER, 1 BB, 10 K

Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.) hit a two-run homer in the third and drove in another run in the fifth to highlight the offense.

Couto took care of the rest to notch her 13th complete and fifth shutout of the season.


GAME TWO: Endicott 12, Curry 0 (5 inn.)

WP (11-3): Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) — 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 3 BB, 2 K
LP (3-4): Caitlyn Wood (Saugus, Mass.) — 0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 0 K

The Gulls scored eight runs in the first two innings of play to run away with the sweep.

Chloe Shapleigh (Lynnfield, Mass.) fueled the offense going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBI.
