BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team took two conference games from Roger Williams, 7-1 and 3-0, on Saturday evening at the Softball Complex.
GAME ONE: Endicott 7, Roger Williams 1
WP (8-3): Maria Hanchuk (South Windsor, Conn.) – 6 IP, 7 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 K
LP (7-11): Raegen Germano (Old Tappan, N.J.) – 5 2/3 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 4 ER, 6 BB, 5 K
Endicott scored in every inning but the third to secure the game one victory.
Christina Nowicki (Chelsea, Mass.) highlighted the offense with a two-run triple to left center in the fifth that all but put the game out of reach (5-1, at the time).
Raven Comtois (Milford, N.H.), Chloe Shapleigh (Lynnfield, Mass.), and Julianna Roche (North Andover, Mass.) also drove in runs for the Gulls.
GAME TWO: Endicott 3, Roger Williams 0

LP (1-3): Taylor Myers (East Haven, Conn.) – 3 2/3 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Couto extended her scoreless innings streak to 16 frames with her second straight complete-game shutout (fifth career).
Meanwhile, Comtois provided all the offense the Gulls needed – thanks to Couto's masterful work in the circle – with a solo homer to left center in the third inning.
Emma Hogan (Tyngsborough, Mass.) also plated Lindsay Joubert (Haverhill, Mass.) with a triple down the right field line in the fourth before Nowicki knocked in Hogan from third with an infield single to cap the scoring.
