Five Gulls Receive Softball All-Conference Honors

Endicott Softball All-Conference Winners

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released the 2015 Softball All-CCC Team on Friday morning. Five members of the Endicott softball team were honored for their success on the field during the 2015 season. The Gulls will wrap up the regular season this afternoon while they currently sit at 15-16 (11-4 CCC).

The Blue and Green saw two members earn First Team status as juniors Sam DiBella (Danvers, Mass.) and Courtney Blake (East Islip, N.Y.) were recognized. DiBella has now garnered First Team honors for the third consecutive year, playing most of this season at third base. She is the team leader in RBI's (25), homeruns (4), OBP (.500), slugging percentage (.706) and second in batting average (4.12). Blake has been the #1 pitcher for the Gulls this season currently sitting at 13-3 with a 1.70 ERA on 111 innings pitched. The hurler has compiled 57 strikeouts, and an impressive 15 complete games.

Junior Jamie Corda (Higganum, Conn.) earned Second Team honors for the first time in her career. The outfielder holds a .321 batting average, .352 OBP and a .429 slugging percentage. She has totaled eight RBI's, nine doubles and 27 hits this season. On the defensive end she holds a .953 fielding percentage with just one error and 35 putouts.

Wrapping up the honors is sophomore Julia McNeill (Hauppage, N.Y.) and freshman Margaret Martzolf (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.) who earned Third Team honors. McNeill has posted an impressive sophomore season as the team leader in batting average (.440) while recording 21 RBI's, 11 doubles, and 37 hits. The infielder boasts a .571 slugging percentage and .473 OBP. At second base the sophomore has a .979 fielding percentage with 47 putouts with just two errors. Martzolf has posted a strong rookie campaign seeing time in the infield and as a designated player. The freshman own a .443 slugging percentage, .353 OBP and .279 batting average. She has totaled 12 RBI while notching two homeruns and four doubles on just 17 hits. See's
