BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior outside hitter Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico) has been chosen to the FrogJump Volleyball Team of the Week, as announced by the organization earlier today.
The FrogJump Team of the Week is the organization's weekly honor roll, which recognizes some of the top performances at each of the seven positions (2 outside hitters, 2 middle blockers, 1 opposite, 1 setter, 1 libero) from the previous week's matches.
Honorees are nominated by their Sports Information Directors (SIDs)/Coaches and selected by a committee of FrogJump staff.
Last week for the Gulls (3/21-27), Robert posted an impressive 4.63 kills per set (74 kills total), a .394 hitting percentage, 1.06 digs per set (17 total), six aces, and five block assists as he led Endicott to a 3-1 (3-0 NECC) record.
Robert's stat line in conference-only matches included 4.18 k/s, a .361 hitting percentage, seven digs, and four block assists.
Meanwhile, his best match of the week came against No. 10 nationally ranked Wentworth, in which he hammered home a career-high 28 kills on 44 attempts (.455) to go along with 10 digs.
Today's announcement marks the first time in program history a Gull has been named to the FrogJump Team of the Week. The FrogJump Team of the Week was created on January 18, 2022.
The award also marks Robert's second weekly honor in the last two days.
On Monday, Robert claimed his second straight New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week honor.
