Men’s Volleyball Downs Regis, 3-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's volleyball team swept Regis, 3-0, by scores of 25-14, 25-22, and 25-23 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico) shined for the Gulls behind a match-high 13 kills (.632), six digs, two service aces, and a perfect 21-for-21 line on serve-receive.

Endicott also saw Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.), Spencer Capps (Lake Bluff, Ill.), and Ian Smith (Elk Grove, Calif.) contribute 10 (.562), eight (.632), and eight kills, respectively, in the victory.

As a team, the Gulls hit a season-high .425 (47K-13E-80TA) due in large part to the setting of Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.) who dished out a match-high 29 assists (.630).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls are 19-1 all-time against Regis.
  • Endicott has won four straight matches versus the Pride (three straight shutouts).
  • The Gulls are 2-0 at home this season.
  • Eleven of Robert's 21 receptions led to kills (.524).
  • Today's match featured 28 ties and nine lead changes (S1: 3-1 | S2: 9-1 | S3: 16-7).

Endicott (5-2) hosts Rivier on Thursday, February 17 at 7 PM. Regis (3-6) travels to Lasell next Thursday at 7 PM.
