Schoen, Murray Earn All Conference Honors

BEVERLY, MA - Josh Schoen (Phoenix, AZ/Arcadia) and Dan Murray (Coventry, RI/Bishop Hendricken) earned All-Conference honors after leading the Gulls to their best season to date going 9-9 overall and 5-3 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The team also won its first ever conference tournament match.

Schoen, a sophomore, earned First Team All-Conference honors after having a great year going 11-7 overall and 6-2 in the CCC while playing in the number one singles slot. He also won seven of his last nine matches taking the Gulls all the way to the conference semifinal where they lost to eventual champions Salve Regina.

Murray was named to the CCC All-Conference Second Team after going 10-8 overall and 6-2 in the CCC at second singles. Murray won his match against Curry in the CCC first round, 6-0, 6-2 helping the Gulls to a 5-4 win and a trip to the semifinals.

The duo not only played well in their respective singles campaigns but they also teamed up to earn All-Conference Second Team honors in doubles. Schoen and Murray went 10-8 overall and 4-4 in the CCC at first doubles.

Schoen earns first team honors for the second year in the row, he was also a second team all conference selection at doubles last year with teammate Gabriel Moraga.
