BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College men's tennis team ran into a strong Colby-Sawyer Chargers squad Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 7-2 Commonwealth Coast Conference decision in Beverly, MA. The loss was Endicott's first CCC blemish so far this season.

Josh Schoen (Phoenix, AZ/Arcadia) and Dan Murray (Coventry, RI/Bishop Hendricken) got the Gulls started in singles competition as the No. 1 and No. 2 players scored early victories for the home team. Colby-Sawyer responded by sweeping the four remaining singles match-ups in a convincing fashion, taking the early points advantage.

Led by the doubles team of Brendan O'Neill (South Kingston, RI/South Kingston) and Ben Taylor (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy), Colby-Sawyer rifled their way through doubles play, making quick work of the Blue and Green. The doubles sweep earned the Chargers the 7-2 CCC win.

The Gulls look to rebound tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Bristol, RI to take on Roger Williams University. Endicott then continues their busy stretch on Thursday, heading to cross-town rival Gordon College for a CCC showdown. Both match-ups are scheduled for 3:30 PM start times.
