Couchot and Calabrese Headline Men's Soccer CCC All-Conference Honors

2017 CCC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

ENDICOTT MEN'S SOCCER ALL-CONFERENCE HISTORY

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team had eight members earn Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) All-Conference accolades, as announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon. Two of those honors were major awards as senior Conner Couchot (Mason, Ohio) was named Defensive Player of the Year and head coach Joe Calabrese was named Coach of the Year.

The Gulls have now had three Defensive Player of the Year recipients and five Coach of the Year awards in their 24-year program history. This is also the second year in a row that Endicott has had a member selected as Defensive Player of the year and third year in a row with a coach named Coach of the Year.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR/ ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM

Conner Couchot | Sr. | B |Mason, Ohio

Couchot is a mainstay on the Endicott back line, as well as adding to the team's offense. He has played a major role in the Gull's 10-4-3 overall record and six shutouts. So far this season he has registered one goal and three assists for five points. Couchot was a 2015 All-CCC Third Team selection and was also named to the 2014 All-CCC Second Team.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Joe Calabrese | Head Coach | Seventh Season

Calabrese was named CCC Coach of the Year for the third season in a row. He has led the Gulls to an overall record of 75-46-21 and conference record of 38-14-11 in his seven seasons at the helm of the program. This is also the third season in a row that Calabrese has led the team to a regular season title and first place seeding in the conference tournament.

ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM

Evan Couchot | So. | F | Mason, Ohio

Couchot had a successful sophomore campaign after being named CCC Rookie of the Year and earning a place on the All-CCC Second Team during the 2016 season. He leads the Gulls in both goals (10) and points (23) heading into the postseason.

Dario Neukom | Sr. | M | Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Neukom has seen action in 13 of the Gulls total 17 games this season and has contributed three goals and one assist for seven points. This is his second career All-CCC award as he was named to the 2016 All-CCC Third Team. Neukom has contributed to the Gulls' being second in the conference in goals allowed (13) and tied for fifth in the conference in total team goals scored (33).

Ryan Cohane | Sr. | B | Easton, Conn.

Cohane was named to the All-CCC First Team for the second straight season. He anchors an Endicott back line that has six shutouts and an overall record of 10-4-3. Cohane registered one goal on the season, which was the game-winner during a 2-1 victory over Trinity (Conn.). Previously this season, he was a CCC Defensive Player of the Week honoree during the week of September 25.

ALL-CCC SECOND TEAM

Will Manuel | Fr. | GK | Mount Pleasant, S.C.

Manuel has had an excellent freshman season in net for the Gulls, recording an overall record of 7-2-3 and registering four shutouts. He is a two-time CCC Rookie of the Week award winner (9/5/17, 10/2/17) and was also CCC Defensive Player of the Week once (9/5/17). Manuel has made a total of 29 saves and allowed only 11 goals throughout the season.

ALL-CCC THIRD TEAM

Brandon Haughton | Fr. | M | Hartford, Conn.

Haughton has appeared in all 17 games for the Gulls and started in 16. He has registered two assists for two points throughout the season and has been a key piece of Endicott winning and maintaining possession on both halves of the field. Haughton has contributed to the Gulls' being second in the conference in goals allowed (13) and tied for fifth in the conference in total team goals scored (33).

Bobby Ivatts | Jr. | B | Walpole, Mass.

Ivatts has been a key member of the Endicott back line throughout the season. He has played a major role in the Gulls' 10-4-3 overall record and six shutouts. Ivatts has a team-leading and career-high four assists as well as one goal on the year.

WHAT'S NEXT: Endicott clinched the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the CCC tournament this past week. The Gulls host No. 8 University of New England in the CCC Quarterfinals on Saturday, Oct. 28 in Hempstead Stadium at 7 p.m.
