CCC QUARTERFINALS: No. 1 Endicott Set To Host No. 8 University of New England On Saturday

BEVERLY, Mass. – For the third season in a row, the Endicott men's soccer team heads into postseason play as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) regular-season champion, which earns them the No. 1 seed in the CCC tournament.

THE MATCHUP: The Gulls currently have an overall record of 10-4-3 and finished with a 6-1-2 record in conference play. They will host eighth-seeded UNE on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. in Hempstead Stadium. Previously, the two teams met on Saturday, Oct. 21 and the Nor'easters came away with a close 1-0 win.

POSTSEASON HISTORY: This is the eighth straight season that Endicott has qualified for the conference tournament. Head coach Joe Calabrese looks to lead his squad to its first-ever CCC title in program history.

The Gulls come into the CCC quarterfinal round after a 3-1 victory over Salve Regina on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Leading the team in scoring is Evan Couchot with 23 points (10 G, 3 A), while freshman Jamie Becker is second with 13 points on six goals and one assist.

The Nor'easters enter the weekend after a 2-1 loss to Nichols on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Lee Esposito leads the team in scoring with seven points on two goals and three assists. Three other players also have registered a team-leading two goals on the season.

WHAT'S NEXT: The winner of the contest will move onto the CCC semifinals, which will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at the highest remaining seeds. The championship game will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4 and the CCC Tournament champion will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournament.
