Fahy, Lally Earn All-American Status

BEVERLY, MA - Endicott seniors Kevin Lally (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy) and Burt Fahy (Needham, MA/Needham) were honored as 2006 STX/USILA Division III All-Americans.

The duo combined to create one of the most potent offenses in all of Division III lacrosse. Lally quarterbacked an offense which churned out a massive 14.37 goals per game, ranking fifth in the country. Fahy and Lally were each named to STX/USILA Division III All-American Honorable Mention Team.

Fahy was the consummate closer, racking up 67 goals for 90 points. He finished sixth in the country in points per game (4.74) and fourth in goals per game (3.53). He was a First-Team CCC All-Conference selection as well as a NEIILA Second-Team All-New England nominee.

Lally finished second in the NCAA in points per game, averaging 5.21, while leading the nation in assists at 77. He wrapped up a stellar four-year career as the NCAA's all-time career assist leader with 272 helpers. The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year was also a NEILA First-Team All-New England selection.

Fahy and Lally were part of a senior class that was perfect in CCC regular season play with a four-year mark of 40-0. The Class of 2006 captured three consecutive CCC crowns and compiled a four-year record of 54-22.

Lally played in the 65th annual North-South Senior All-Star Game at Villanova Stadium. He dished out an assist in the contest that saw the Division I and II All-Stars down the Division III All-Stars, 17-6. Fahy played in the 2005 game and was no eligible to compete this spring.
