BIDDEFORD, ME - Seniors Burt Fahy (Needham, MA/Needham) scored four times and Kevin Lally (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy) added a goal and five assists to help Endicott College to a 15-3 Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over the University of New England Wednesday afternoon.
The win was the fourth straight for the two-time defending CCC champions. The Gulls improved to 5-3 overall, 3-0 in conference play while UNE dropped to 2-4 (0-2 CCC).
Endicott took control from the outset, blanking UNE 4-0 in the first period, then scored the first goal of the second frame. Dan Ryan(Billerica, MA/Billerica) tallied two goals in the opening 4:29 to help the Gulls to their quick start.
Endicott led 7-1 at the half and 10-2 after three periods before outscoring the hosts 5-1 in the final stanza.
Sean Kearney (Mahopac, NY/Mahopac) played the first 47:17 between the pipes to earn the win. He was called upon to make just a pair of saves. Shane Gallagher (Lowell, MA/Lowell) and Eric Campbell (Wellesley, MA/Wellesley) combined for four stops over the final 12:43.
Ryan Rivard (East Freetown, MA), Juan Lozano (Londonderry, NH) and Kevin Benasich (Dorset, VT) each scored for the Nor'easters, who received 16 saves from A.J. Gagliardi (Branford, CT).
Endicott will take its four-match win streak to Nichols College on Saturday, while the Nor'easters travel to Roger Williams University that same day.
