BEVERLY, MA - Senior captain Kevin Lally (Derry, NH/Pinkerton Academy) has been sharing the lacrosse ball since his arrival at Endicott College four years ago. As a junior, Lally dished out an NCAA-best 73 assists, putting him second on the NCAA Division III all-time career assists leaderboard.

Lally, the reigning ECAC Player of the Year, is back at again in 2006. He has already amassed 30 helpers to go along with seven goals. That 30 assists put the Derry, New Hampshire native at the top of a very impressive list.

Lally is now the all-time career assists leader in the NCAA for Division III. His 224 career helpers in 60 contests tops the old mark set by Jason Coffman of Salisbury (1993-1996), who posted 202 career assists in 62 games.

Lally set the mark last Wednesday (March 22) when he collected eight assists in a win over MIT, 17-4. In that same week, he gathered four assists in a tough loss to Tufts (7-5) and tossed around another eight helpers in an 18-7 triumph over Roger Williams.

Lally was completely unaware of his accomplishments, however. Head coach Sean Quirk, who is among the NCAA Division III leaders in active coaches winning percentage, informed Lally of the achievement following Endicott's stunning upset of No. 13 Bowdoin College, 6-5, this past Monday night (March 27). Lally picked up three assists in that win, including the game-winner on a feed to Burt Fahy (Needham, MA/Needham) with 12.9 seconds remaining in regulation.

Lally, who earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week honors Monday, has led the Gulls to a 4-3 record (2-0 CCC). Fahy also enjoyed a tremendous 2005 campaign, registering 68 goals, which was good enough to be among the all-time single-season goals leaders. He has 23 goals in seven contests this spring.
