Men’s Ice Hockey Edges No. 14 Curry On Senior Day, 2-1

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated No. 14 nationally ranked Curry, 2-1, in conference action on Saturday evening.

Prior to the game, Campbell Balk (West Olive, Mich.)Elijah Harris (Haverhill, Mass.), Timmy Hazelton (Commack, N.Y.), Svet Kuchynski (Minsk, Belarus), and Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) were all honored for their contributions to the program and the Endicott community.

Noah Strawn (Wareham, Mass.) and Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) both scored in the victory. Strawn netted his fourth career power play goal in the first (9:35), while Kurapov potted his third career game-winner in the third (1:20).

Meanwhile, in goal, O'Brien made 25 saves to improve to 12-4-1 on the season (46-16-3 career).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 12-4-0 all-time against Curry.
  • The Colonels are 3-4-2 on the road in 2021-22.
  • Endicott is 3-1-0 versus Curry when the Colonels have been nationally ranked.

Endicott (13-5-1, 10-4-1 CCC) hosts Suffolk on Tuesday, February 8 at 6 PM. No. 14 Curry (11-5-2, 9-4-1 CCC) welcomes Suffolk to the Canton Ice House tomorrow at 11:30 AM.
