Rylee Gillen enters her second season as an assistant coach with both cross country programs and the women's track & field team in 2023-24.

A former NCAA Division I student-athlete at Providence College (PC), Gillen was a member of the Friars' cross country and track & field programs competing as a distance runner and thrower (discus/shot put).

Gillen also was a Big East All-Academic Team honoree and a member of the Alpha Epsilon Delta National Health Professional and Psi Chi Psychology Honor Societies during her time at PC. 

Aside from her collegiate experiences, Gillen has served as an assistant track and field coach at the Gibbons Middle School and worked with runners, including conducting gait analyses, as assistant manager at the Marx Running & Fitness Center.

Gillen obtained her Bachelor of Arts in biology and psychology with a neuroscience certificate from PC in 2020. She later worked at the University of Vermont as a research project assistant focusing on adolescent braing cognitive development and has served as an academic/writing tutor at PC and the Gibbons Middle School.
