Bio
The 2025–26 academic year marks Mark Kulakowski’s 24th year of service to Endicott College. Promoted to Associate Athletic Director in Fall 2023, Kulakowski oversees athletic facilities, gameday management, and recreation operations. He also serves as advisor to the roller hockey, men’s and women’s crew, and men’s and women’s rugby programs.
In addition to his leadership within athletics, Kulakowski plays an active role across campus. He is a member of Endicott’s CARE Team, serves on the Homecoming Committee, and acts as the College’s liaison to the Army and Air Force ROTC programs. During the winter months, he can often be found plowing and preparing fields to ensure teams can return to outdoor play as quickly as possible. This past year, he also assumed an expanded role in the day-to-day operations of the ice arena during hockey season.
At the conclusion of the 2020–21 academic year, Kulakowski received the Class of 2021 Mingotide Yearbook Dedication Award for his leadership in operating the College’s COVID-19 Testing Center and supporting the implementation of Endicott’s strategic COVID-19 response plan. The award recognizes outstanding dedication and service to the Endicott community.
Known as a “Voice of the Gulls,” Kulakowski frequently serves as master of ceremonies for signature events such as Basketball Blastoff, assists with graduation lineups, and supports numerous athletic events throughout the year.
Kulakowski also spent many years as an assistant coach with the softball and football programs. During his 15 spring seasons with softball, he helped former head coach Mark Veilleux capture 10 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championships. The program also earned 10 NCAA Tournament appearances, including a regional finals appearance in 2014, and won the ECAC Championship in 2012.
With football, Kulakowski served as Co-Defensive Coordinator, helping former head coach JB Wells launch the program in 2002. He also contributed to coaching the running backs, special teams, and defensive line units during his tenure.
A four-year student-athlete at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Kulakowski was captain and Most Valuable Player of the Corsairs football team in 2001. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from UMass Dartmouth and later completed his Master’s degree in Education at Endicott in 2005.
He resides in Danvers with his wife, Katy, and their two children, Macklin and Maggie.
