Michael Clapprood '25 M'26 enters his first year as the Graduate Assistant for Annual & Athletic Giving at Endicott College in 2025-26. 

Clapprood joins the Gulls’ staff following his graduation from Endicott's School of Social Sciences, Communication, and Humanities in May 2025, where he received a Bachelor of Science in communication.

In his role in the Institutional Advancement Office, Clapprood will orchestrate team-specific fundraising campaigns, pledge fundraisers, crowdfunding events, alumni athlete socials, and clinic/prospect days.

He will also work on initiatives for the Gull Club annual fund, the Gull Club Golf Challenge, Giving Day, and networking events during Homecoming & Reunion Weekend.

During his time as an undergraduate, Clapprood was heavily involved in the Endicott College Athletic Department in various roles, including sports information assistant, where he wrote comprehensive game recaps and feature stories for ECGulls.com, and created compelling social media posts. His feature story titled "Freshmen Duo of Shinney and Kinney Making Immediate Impact" won a College Sports Communicators (CSC) National Award for the best College Division Student Submission in 2025. He is the first student from the Endicott Athletics Sports Information Office to win a CSC national award, of any kind. 

Most notably, Clapprood’s voice was heard as the public address announcer at football, basketball, soccer, and lacrosse games, along with being the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for Endicott Student-Athlete Award Ceremonies. 

Academically, Clapprood completed his semester-long internship with the America East Conference office in Fall 2024. He had the opportunity to gain a plethora of experiences within the landscapes of DI athletics, including: sport administration, compliance, content strategy, operations, and brand partnerships.

Clapprood is currently pursuing his Master's in Sport Leadership as the department's Graduate Assistant for Annual & Athletic Giving at Endicott College in 2025-26.
