Women’s Track & Field Concludes Competition At New England Regionals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Endicott women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the NCAA Division III New England Championship on Saturday evening on the campus of Springfield College.

Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) broke the school record in the heptathlon to highlight the Gulls.

D'Angelo placed eighth in the javelin (74-07), 10th in the 800-meter run (2:45.77), and 11th in the long jump (15-0.75) to conclude the heptathlon with a school record 3,744 points.

She bettered her previous school record by 143 points.

Aside from the heptathlon, D'Angelo also ranked 11th overall in the open shot put (38-9).

Jordan Williams (Boxford, Mass.), Nicole Woo (Newton, Mass.), Kinneal Dickens (Merrimac, Mass.), and Bianca Del Maestro (Malden, Mass.) placed 13th overall in the 4x100-meter relay with a school record time of 50.03-seconds (previous 50.78).

Meanwhile, the Gulls' 4x400-meter relay consisting of Hannah Risko (Albany, N.Y.), Brianna am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Hannah Shepard (Keene, N.H.), and Allie Devoe (Ridgfield, Conn.) finished 11th overall in the event with a time of 4:16.93 (second all-time in program history).

Gates MacPherson (Thorold, Ontario) rounded out the highlights with a 14th place finish in the discus (115-10).
