D’Angelo Earns Second Straight CCC Field Athlete Of The Week Award

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott senior Nicole D'Angelo (Readfield, Maine) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Last week at the Saint Joseph's (Me.) Invitational, D'Angelo became the first Endicott student-athlete to win a heptathlon, scoring a school record 3,601 points.

D'Angelo topped the field of eight competitors, setting one school record and six personal bests on the day.

She set a school record in the shot put with a toss of 12.34m (40-6) and threw the javelin a personal best 29.00m (95-2). She also set PRs in the 100m hurdles, 200m  dash, and 800m run.

Outside of the heptathlon, D'Angelo finished second in the pole vault with a height of 2.80m (9-2.25) and fifth in the discus with a throw of 33.34m (109-4).

D'Angelo record-setting day also lifted the Gulls to the team title at the invitational.

Endicott scored 166 points, nearly 50 more than second place, thanks in large part to D'Angelo's 22 points scored in the pole vault (8), discus (4), and heptathlon (10).

D'Angelo is now a six-time CCC Field Athlete of the Week award winner (4/8/19, 5/3/2021, 3/28/22, 4/4/22, 4/10/23, 4/18/23).
