Lehmann Earns USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

USTFCCCA RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine.) of the Endicott men's cross country team has earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region honors.

Lehmann becomes the first cross country runner, male or female, from Endicott to earn this recognition.

At the NCAA Division III East Regionals this past weekend, Lehmann placed 35th in the meet with a time of 25:55 over the 8-kilometer meet, which was both a personal and school record. He is also the highest individual finisher for the Gulls since the regional championship alignment occurred in 2021.

Head coach Spencer Lange had this to say about the accomplishment, "Josh capped off a great season with a personal best and school record time at the Regional Championship, fighting for every spot which ended up earning him All-Region. It is a reflection of everything he puts into his approach to being a great teammate, leader, and student-athlete. This team has worked very well together all year and strives to bring the best out in each other. They collectively ran their best race of the season on the biggest stage. They should be so proud of what they are building together."

YEAR IN REVIEW

The Gulls wrapped up their season at the Division III East Regional Championships where they placed 16th out of 34 teams. At the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship, the team placed fourth. Lehmann at the Pop Cowell Invitational produced his first collegiate victory and was the first Gull on the men's side to win the meet.
