Men's Cross Country Place 16th at NCAA Regionals

HOPKINTON, N.H. — The Endicott men's cross country team placed 16th overall out of 34 programs at the NCAA Division III East Regional Championship on Saturday afternoon.

MIT took top honors at the meet via a team score of 35 points.

Meanwhile, Tufts (57), Bates (97), Bowdoin (118), WPI (130), Colby (174), Plymouth State (222), Suffolk (227), Babson (279), and Brandeis (342) rounded out the top-10.

As for the Gulls (456 points), Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine) highlighted the squad with a 35th place finish on the 8-kilometer course in 25:55 which was a personal best and school record. For his finish, Lehmann was named a member of the USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association) All-Region team.

Lehmann was followed by Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.) who set a personal best time of 26:28 and finished 50th. Connor Coffin (Scarborough, Maine.) finsihed 85th with a time of 27:07 while Hunter Boucher (Lowell, Mass.) and Andrew Lauzon (North Andover, Mass.) rounded out the top five for Endicott with new personal records as they both ran 28:58 (143rd and 144th).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Lehmann registered the best individual finish for the Gulls since the regional championship alignment occurred in 2021 (10-region model).
  • The Gulls averaged a time of 27:29 on the 8-kilometer course which was a season best.
