Gulls Compete In “Battle Of The North Shore”

WENHAM, Mass. — The Endicott men's cross country team competed in the "Battle of the North Shore" on Friday evening at Gordon College.

Roger Williams took home top honors in the meet with 20 points, followed by Endicott (55) and Gordon (61).

However, the Fighting Scots earned their first victory in the "Battle of the North Shore" dual meet series against Endicott by a slim 27-29 score. 

The "Battle of the North Shore" meet began in 2017 (Gulls 5-1 in the all-time series).

Josh Lehmann (Gorham, Maine) led Endicott with a third place finish on the 5-kilometer course in 15:52.1.

Caleb Nye (Hinesburg, Vt.) followed in fifth place (16:06.7), Cooper Downey (Hudson, N.H.) crossed the finish line in 18th place (16:59.2), Andrew Lauzon (North Andover, Mass.) was 23rd overall (17:08.1), and Henry Bybee (Hampton, N.H.) ranked 27th overall.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

  • Nye, Hunter Boucher (Lowell, Mass.), and Dominick McDonough (Woburn, Mass.) all posted personal bests.
  • Boucher was 34th overall in 17:47.6, while McDonough finished 40th overall (18:41.8).

Endicott competes in the Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon, on Saturday, September 16 at 11:30 AM.
