Donovan Dey Sweeps NECC Weekly Awards

NECC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott freshman outside Donovan Dey (Fairport, N.Y.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player and Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Dey powered Endicott to a 3-0 sweep over Elms as the freshman outside notched a match-high (tied) 10 kills on 14 swings for a .643 hitting percentage. Dey also added one block assist in the Gulls' victory as well.

On the season, Dey has compiled 90 kills (2.20 k/s), a .288 hitting percentage, and 18 blocks (four solo, 14 assisted) in 41 sets played for the Gulls. Dey currently ranks ninth in the NECC in kills, 11th in kills per set, second in hitting percentage, and eighth in blocks.

Endicott (8-8, 3-0 NECC) hosts Newbury College in a league matchup on Wednesday, March 1 at 7 PM.
