Men’s Soccer Stifles UNE, 6-0

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team defeated the University of New England (UNE), 6-0, on Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

Codan Foley (Carver, Mass.)Cole Fergusson (South Salem, N.Y.)Austin Wickham (North Granby, Conn.)Tiago Frazao (Trumbull, Conn.)Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.), and Hayden Laske (Wethersfield, Conn.) all scored in the win.

As a team, the Gulls outshot UNE 37-5 in their highest-scoring game of the season.

Meanwhile, Kyle Rosa (Norton, Mass.) stopped two shots in the victory (2-1-1).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The Gulls improved to 17-5-1 against UNE.
  • Endicott has won its last four matches versus the Nor'easters.
  • Despite only needing two saves for his first career shutout, Rosa was tested with 11:50 left in the contest as the freshman goalkeeper needed to make a highlight reel save leaping up in the air to punch a ball over the goal that looked destined for the upper-90.
  • Frazao, Karkos, Laske, and Wickham all scored their first career collegiate goals in the contest.
  • Endicott is 4-2-2 at home this season.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (6-6-2, 5-1-1 CCC) travels to Western New England on Saturday, October 23 at 3 PM. UNE (1-13-1, 0-7-0 CCC) hosts Nichols this Saturday at 2:30 PM.
