Men’s Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches 2020-21 Team Academic Award

2020-21 UNITED SOCCER ACADEMIC AWARD LIST

BEVERLY, Mass. For the fifth straight season, the Endicott men's soccer team has received the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award, as announced by the organization earlier in the week.

The United Soccer Coaches organization annually recognizes college and high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their work on the field.

A total of 602 soccer teams (220 men, 382 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year. Of that total, 90 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized, including Endicott.

Overall, the Endicott men's soccer program has earned the distinction seven total times (2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020).

Last fall, the Gulls also placed five student-athletes Steven Avery, (Rotterdam, N.Y.), Cole Elgin (Franklin Lakes, N.J.), Connor Ross, (Atkinson, N.H.) Dan Pierce, (Granby, Conn.) and Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference list.

Student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must have attained sophomore status.

For the latest on Endicott Athletics, follow the Gulls on social media on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
