Men's Soccer Edged By MIT, 2-1

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team lost to MIT, 2-1, on Wednesday night at Steinbrenner Stadium. 

Joe Mepham (Sudbury, Mass.) scored the lone goal for the Gulls via a penalty kick at 59:31.

From there, Endicott put forth a valiant comeback effort outshooting MIT 3-2, which included a 2-0 differential in shots on goal, but the Engineers held on for the victory.

Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) compiled five saves in the loss. (2-3-1). 

BEYOND THE BOX 

  • Mepham leads the Gulls in goals this year with five.  
  • MIT is 5-1-1 at home this season. 
  • Endicott's last three matches have been decided by one goal.

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Gulls (2-4-2, 1-0-1 CCC) will host Roger Williams (4-4-2, 3-1 CCC) this Saturday, October 2 as part of Endicott's Homecoming & Family Weekend festivities.

MIT (6-2-1, 1-0-1 NEWMAC) hosts Coast Guard this Saturday at 12 PM.
