Men's Soccer Edges Gordon In Double Overtime, 2-1

WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team edged Gordon in double overtime, 2-1, on Saturday night at the Brigham Athletic Complex. 

In the 109th minute, Joe Mepham (Sudbury, Mass.) netted the game-clinching goal from the right post via a feed from Max Karkos (Wethersfield, Conn.) to help seal the deal for the Gulls. 

Prior to the go-ahead goal, Matthew Cronin (Glastonbury, Conn.) tied the match at one-all with a tally at the 43:30 mark.

Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) compiled four saves in the match to improve to 3-4-1 on the season. 

BEYOND THE BOX

  • Endicott has won its last five meetings over Gordon. 
  • Cronin notched his first colligate goal. 
  • Mepham leads the Gulls in goals (6). 
  • Endicott secured its first OT win this year (1-0-2). 

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (4-5-2, 3-0-1 CCC) hosts Salve Regina (8-4-1, 3-1 CCC) on Tuesday, October 12 at 7 PM. Gordon (6-4, 2-2-0 CCC) travels to Western New England (7-3-2, 3-1-0 CCC) on Tuesday, October 12 at 3:30 PM.
