BEVERLY, Mass.-  Both the men's and women's soccer teams have been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in receiving the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2011-12 academic year.  The award is given to teams that have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

This is the first time the men's team has received the award.  Their season ended with an ECAC DIII New England Semifinal loss to #2 Coast Guard.  The women's team has received the honor for the last three seasons and five of the last six.  The team made history this year as they brought home the program's first ever ECAC DIII New England Championship as they knocked off top-seeded St. Joseph's 2-0.
