Daniel Named CCC Rookie of the Week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-  Jordan Daniel (Canton, Conn.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Week after netting his league leading 11th goal and his third assist of the season in two victories.  The freshman now has 25 points on the campaign which leads the CCC and is tied for the lead in goals.

Daniel's assist came in the team's 2-1 win against CCC foe Nichols on Tuesday.  With the Gulls trailing 1-0 in the 33rd minute, Daniel was able to find Justin Lavallee (Wrentham, Mass.) who took a shot from 20 yards out and fired a shot to knot the score at 1-1.

Jordan then scored his 11th goal of the season in dramatic fashion against Salve Regina in the 104th minute.  With no score in double overtime, Daniel was able to once again show off his array of offensive skill as he took a cross from Abdulla Al Khalifa (Riffa, Bahrain) and headed it into the net.

Daniel and the team are off until Wednesday when they travel to Wentworth on the last day of CCC play.
