Endicott victorious 2-0 over Regis

Weston, Mass. – The Endicott men’s soccer team scored two first half goals en route to a 2-0 shutout over The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) opponent Regis College in Weston. The Gulls are 3-7-1 (3-4 TCCC) while the Pride drop to 3-9-1 (0-7-1 TCCC).
In the 23rd minute of the first half, Endicott junior forward \#Jared Rizzo\# (Peabody, Mass.) scored an unassisted goal to put the Gulls up 1-0. Rizzo got off a shot that dribbled past Regis keeper Ryne Tilman (Bedford, Mass.). It was Rizzo’s first goal of the season.
Ten minutes later at 32:13, Gulls junior defender \#Chris Serpa\# (Bristol, R.I.) sent a pass to teammate \#Kevin Ivester\# (Topsfield, Mass.) to stretch the early match lead to two goals. The goal was Ivester’s first and the assist was Serpa’s first of the season.
The Endicott defense kept the Regis attack at bay as Gulls goalie \#Daniel Higgins\# (Kingstown, R.I.) was asked only to make one save in the match. On the other end of the pitch, however, Tilman made 11 saves as the Blue and Green outshot the Pride 17-3. 
Endicott plays hosts to Curry College on Wednesday, October 13 for a 6:30 pm start. Regis travels to Nichols College on Thursday, October 14 at 3:30 pm.
