Gulls shutout Lions for first win
 
Quincy, Mass. - Endicott scored two goals in the second half and received spectacular play in goal from \#Dave Whalen\# (Newington, Conn.) as the Gulls knocked off Eastern Nazarene, 2-0, to pick up their first win of the season.   The Gulls improve to 1-6-1 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. Eastern Nazarene falls to 1-6 and remains winless (0-4) in the TCCC.
 
After a scoreless first half, Endicott opened the scoring in the 54th minute. Freshman \#Alex Elia\# (Somers, Conn.) took a pass in the center of the box from \#Dylan Tate\# (Guilderland, N.Y.) and placed a low shot into the bottom corner of the net. Elia’s first collegiate goal would stand as game winner.   
 
 At 77:20, Endicott stretched the lead to 2-0 as \#Robbie DiTommaso\# (Farmington, Conn.) collected a deflection and touched a shot into the left edge of the net.   The goal was DiTommaso’s second of the season.
 
Endicott goalkeeper Dave Whelan kept the hosts of the board in his first start of the season. The sophomore went the distance and made eight saves in the win
 
Endicott held an advantage in shots (16-10) and corner kicks (12-3) on the afternoon. 
 
The Gulls resume conference play with a Thursday showdown at Colby-Sawyer. The Lions travel to Curry College on Wednesday.
