BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott club men's rugby student-athlete Jesse Adelberg (Old Greenwich, Conn.) has been named a USA Rugby Collegiate All-American, it was announced by the organization last the week.

Adelberg was named to the Collegiate All-American 7s Division II Team with 11 other student-athletes, and was only one of five student-athletes named to the list from the New England region.

"Jesse worked very hard to improve his game and that work was evident in Colorado at nationals. He was responsible for many exciting movements and was one of the key ingredients to our team's success," said Endicott club men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "To have a player recognized as an All-American is a great reward for our team's efforts this spring."

Adelberg played a key role in leading the Gulls to the Division II Plate Championship at the USA Rugby College 7s National Championships in May. Endicott defeated Drexel 19-12 to capture the title, and, in the process, solidified its spot among the top-5 programs in the country in Division II with the win.

Along with his All-American merits, Adelberg also was named to the 2017 USA Rugby College 7s National Championships DII Dream Team during the 2016-17 season.

Overall on the year, Endicott went 19-10 overall, won its first-ever CCRC 7s Championship with a 28-27 come-from-behind victory over Salve Regina, and captured the aforementioned Division II Plate Championship at the USA Rugby College 7s National Championships.
