Men’s Rugby Posts Strong Showing At St. Mary’s College 7’s Tournament

ST. MARY'S, Maryland – The Endicott club men's rugby team won four matches in the St. Mary's College 7's Tournament last weekend en route to a third place showing at the event. 

The Gulls defeated King's College (55-0) and host St. Mary's (22-12) in pool play before their 45-0 victory over Allegheny College that advanced them to the semifinal round of the tournament. Endicott went on to lose to Christendom College by a 17-0 score in the semis, but rebounded with a 26-0 triumph against St. Mary's to claim third place in the tournament.

"I was pleased with the way the boys played in our first competitive competition last weekend," said Endicott club men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "We have much to be proud of, and we look forward to expanding on that success throughout the rest of the season."
