BOSTON, Mass. – Former Endicott men’s lacrosse face-off specialist John Ortolani ’08 (Billerica, Mass.) was named to the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) All-Star Team which will compete against Team USA in the MLL All-Star Game on Thursday, June 26th at 7:30 p.m. at historic Harvard Stadium in Cambridge. Ortolani, a two-time All-CCC and All-New England selection in his three years at Endicott, is in his sixth season in the MLL and is the current face-off man for the Rochester Rattlers. This is his first MLL All-Star selection.
CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Freshman attacker Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) headlined a group of Endicott men’s lacrosse players that were placed on the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England All-Star Team with Rookie of the Year and First Team honors as five Gulls were recognized with regional accolades. Bannon became the first player in Endicott history to be named ECAC New England Rookie of the Year while the five honorees are the most the program has seen in any previous season.
NEWTON, Mass. – Endicott’s graduate student midfielder and the CCC’s Short-Stick Specialist of the Year Peter Erickson (Yarmouth, Maine) will compete at the 2014 NEILA East-West Senior All Star Game as the lone representative from the Gulls men’s lacrosse program. The game will be held on Friday, May 30th at Springfield College with two 25-man teams competing from across all divisions of New England lacrosse.

MEDFORD, Mass. – In the NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament #16 Endicott came up short at #6 Tufts, falling 10-9 on the road, to end their national championship run in the second round. BEVERLY, Mass. – The third quarter in Saturday’s Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men’s Lacrosse Championship saw Western New England outscore Endicott 8-1 during the 15 minute span. That stretch turned a two-goal halftime lead for the Gulls into a 12-7 advantage for the Golden Bears as Western New England went on to win their 2014 CCC title 13-8 at Endicott Stadium.

BALTIMORE, Md. – Junior midfielder Harrison Cotter (Lordship, Conn.) was named Lacrosse Magazine Division III Player of the Week as Cotter twice set career-highs in important victories over CCC rival Western New England and NESCAC foe Bowdoin on Senior Day. In both games, Cotter scored seven goals, a new career, and against the Polar Bears added an assist to set a new personal-best with eight points in a single game.

MIDDLETOWN, R.I. – The #15 Endicott men’s lacrosse team jumped out to an 8-0 lead en route to a 14-8 victory over CCC opponent Salve Regina on Saturday evening as the Gulls improved to 10-3 overall and 6-0 in conference play. The Blue and Green were led by four points from both junior attacker Nick Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) and freshman attacker Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) as well as 19 face-off wins and 14 ground balls from freshman Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.).
MEDFORD, Mass. – The #15 Endicott men’s lacrosse team trailed #9 Tufts 14-7 heading into the fourth quarter at Bello Field on Tuesday evening and mounted a comeback, using a four-goal streak to pull within three at 16-13 with 6:01 remaining in regulation, but the Jumbos scored two additional insurance goals late in the period to secure an 18-13 victory over the Gulls.
