Sterrett’s Overtime Winner Completes Comeback Against Nichols, 3-2

HARRISVILLE, R.I. — Senior forward Jackson Sterrett (Hendersonville, Tenn.) scored 3:30 into overtime to lift the Endicott men's ice hockey team to a 3-2 comeback victory over Nichols on Saturday night at Levy Rink.

Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) created the scoring chance for Sterrett with an impressive display of forechecking, eventually winning the puck at the blue line before swiftly playing it back to Sterrett in the neutral zone.

After receiving Kurapov's tape-to-tape feed, Sterrett burst into the offensive zone and sniped a wrist shot, glove side past Nichols' tender for the game-winner (fifth career).

The Gulls trailed 2-1 late in the third period until Primo Self (Grand Rapids, Mich.) smashed home a Jack Ring (Guilford, Conn.) rebound at the left post with 1:54 remaining in regulation.

Kevin Craig (Hyannis, Mass.) opened the scoring in the contest just before the end of the first period via a blast through traffic from the left point with three seconds to play.

In goal, Ryan Wilson (Shelton, Conn.) compiled 20 saves to move to 6-2-1 on the season.
